Worked for about a year or so and started failing, July 4, 2015

Two of the five cameras I bought have failed within the first year. The IR filter is wedged on then both and the images are purple and pink in the daytime. I would look for other brands. The email function also has never worked (motion activated).

I have two Q-see systems up and running. I’ve had nothing but tribulations with Q-see cameras since buying them. Most all of them fail, go black, within one year of hold. Four QM7008B were bought 9/24/14 and all have failed. Most recently I hold four QM9902B cameras from Amazon 7/15/15 to use as replacement for the 7008 cameras, one of them has failed. I use the cameras at my lake home everywhere humidity and moisture are permanently at high levels. I would’ve never guessed the failure rate would be this high, but. I requested an RMA, 8/6/15, for the four QM7008B and waited for the response. I’ve had doctor appointments and have been very busy doing things around two houses separated by 50 miles. I have, but, been checking my emails every day looking for the response from Q-see. I just got an email, 8/13/15 at 2:56 am, saying they were closing my RMA request because I’d not responded to their previous email, which I never received. I also received a second email from Q-See, 8/13/15 at 2:56 am, to take a survey a propos their customer service. How can I get their emails saying they were closing my RMA request and to take a survey and not get the first email responding to my RMA request??? Anyway, Q-See has repaired/replaced cameras for me before under warranty. But again most fail in one year so I’d expect that. I do get tired of boxing up cameras to send off for repair. That’s why I waited for all four 7008B cameras to fail before requesting an RMA. It’s about time I switch equipment to see if I get better service from some other brand of camera.

WORST customer service I have had to deal with to date! Trying to get RMA is like climbing Mt Everest with no hands, half a leg and a missing foot! Links they send are not working, account has been deleted, can’t make a new one because I have one! DO NOT BUY THESE! You will regret it when they fail in a few months. Not IF, WHEN they fail. I have 2 that are now JUNK! They only thing you will see is your money go down the drain!

Do not buy these and reckon you are getting a fantastic camera. 1 terrible out of the box and the picture is gritty day or night. It said I was upgraded to the “better” camera. Really? I would despise to see the picture quality of the other ones. They do the job for now and I will hold 4 more better cameras as soon as possible.
