This DVR doesn’t miss a beat and records 720p video at 30 frames per second for completely smooth playback with continuous motion that ensures every detail is captured with no gaps at crucial moments. More importantly, you’ll permanently stay connected with a Q-See HD logic. Advanced state-of-the-art remote monitoring features provide you access from anywhere in the world with just a smartphone or tablet. Q-See QTH94-4AG-1 4 CH 720p Analog HD Logic with 4 720p Cameras and 1 TB HDD (Black) is a very well made logic for monitoring small areas with high classification cameras. The logic has many fantastic features. The thing to keep in mind is this logic is made for a general area, not for surveillance of your entire house or business. It would be fantastic for a small store or for specific areas of your home that you consider most vital to monitor.

It comes with a DVR and 4 HD Bullet cams. The set up is honestly simple. You will need an external show as it does not come with one. I used a computer monitor. It has and HDMI output and a VGA output to connect such a device. Once you get it fully installed you can use your smart phone or tablet to view the camera images.

These come with four 60ft BNC cables to connect the cameras to the device. 60 feet is not really a very long cable reach. I would have expected maybe 100 ft, but not sure if the added cable length would degrade the video indicate. As it is these cameras give a VERY excellent image. To test these out I placed 2 cameras right nest to each other outside the front of my house hanging from the confront of everywhere the stairs meet with the door. One camera is aimed at the door itself, the other aimed at the stairway coming up to the door. So I have a excellent view of anyone approaching the front of the house and anyone standing at the door itself. I only used the 2 cameras as a test as I am not exactly sure everywhere the final placement of these cameras will be.

The DVR is very simple to set up, and once you have downloaded the software you can use the remote view functions. I find this logic facility fantastic. But you must keep in mind with only 60ft of cable it is predestined for small areas. It would be a perfect logic for a convenience store or small shop. It would also be perfect for a small apartment. But to monitor an entire house, this is not the logic for that. Q-See does sell several other models with 8 cameras and longer reach for such things. But at the price point this sells at and the way it functions this device is top notch,
High recommendation. Top quality manufactured goods.

Very Clear Video Image, December 22, 2015

My wife’s review: This was my first time to set up a surveillance camera logic. I was to some extent apprehensive to connect this setup, but I wanted to prove to myself I can learn new things – and without any help. I took this as a private challenge to prove I can know electronics. My husband is an electrical engineer and he usually does everything like this.

Anyway, the Q-See QTH94-4AG-1 has four hard wired 720p high classification analog bullet cameras and a 1 TB hard disk drive for video storage. It comes with everything you need except the video monitor. It includes four spools of wire, HDMI cable, manuals and mouse. You can hold extension cables separately. You’ll nearly certainly need to buy additional extension cables. After I took all the accessories out the box, it seemed so intuitive that all I needed was the pictorial schematic to connect the entire camera logic. I reckon I’m like many people who prefer to look at the pictorial schematic instead of reading the details in the manual case by case. I connected the power connector and the video connector from the camera to the four extension cables. Then I connected the other end of each of the four extension cables to the four-way power splitter. Then I connected the four video BNC connectors to the back of the DVR (Digital Video Recorder). Lastly, I connected the HDMI cable between the monitor and the rear of the DVR. Here is another option to connect to the video monitor, which is VGA. VGA is sort of an outdated connection and so here is no VGA cable included. My monitor has both connection options, but HDMI is much simpler to use. You can even use the HDMI cable to connect to your television set instead of a computer monitor.

To access the DVR over the internet, I don’t reckon it is necessary to use a computer to go to their website called www.QTView.com as I read in the manual. I do remember here is a selection option between computer and mobile. I chose the mobile option to view the cameras via my Android cell phone. Now this is the initiation of my frustration to log in using my mobile phone. First thing first is to download the App. Then after that, you have to scan the QR code icon. When I scanned the QR code it took several attempts. In addition, I had to uninstall and reinstall the app and scan again and again. After several tries, I finally got it to work. Considering how well the first part of the installation went, I was able to overlook a small frustration, because it finally got installed correctly and it facility so well.

I was amazed how clean and clear the video image is. The result is fantastic – especially the night vision and the motion detector. I turned off all the lights and it was total darkness. Yet the image on the monitor was very clear – albeit grayscale instead of affect. I know here are only four cameras on this logic, but here are many configuration you can hold with up to 16 cameras from Q-See. This four cameras are excellent to use for a smaller house or a small store. I just visited my aunt in Oregon and to my surprise, she had a different model Q-See security monitor logic in her home. I included a photo of her monitor. It was pitch black outside, cold and rainy. You can get an thought how far the infrared lights project outdoors.

I told my friends on Facebook that I installed a surveillance camera all by myself without any help. Several people that told me they want to get a surveillance logic also. So I told them that they can hold it from Amazon. They kept asking me if I understood how I did it and if I would help them. Of course, I told them it would be my pleasure to help them, too.

On my mobile phone, I can check my home video camera even though I am away from home as long as I have my internet data connection. In that case I am permanently connected 24/7. And the video result on my phone is also very clear. If here is someone walking around I receive a notification on my phone via a motion detector sign. Isn’t that cool? I thought it would be very hard, but it was not at all hard. My husband reviewed a different Q-See logic with ten cameras recently. It worked very well, too.

A excellent logic for providing multiple angles of a defined space, December 18, 2015

This Q-See logic is a nice kit for monitoring a relatively small area. As others have commented, the 60ft cables are certainly a limitation out of the box. I chose to use this logic to monitor a garage and it is perfect for that kind of attention — multiple angles of a defined area. The DVR is a fantastic touch. If you are looking for something with more recording capabilities and saving than a wireless logic (with all of the upload bandwidth those entail), this is a fantastic option.
