Pretty nice for the price,
All 8 cams can be independently configured depending on the day of week and time and the recording modes that suit you. Also you can choose exactly which part of a screenshot that you want to cover with motion detection with adjustable sensitivity and which part to ignore. This is very helpful if part of the screenshot covers public road and you don’t want motion detection to trigger all the time. I set up mine in a way that only when people walk into my property will trigger the recording. This is a very nice function. And the flexibility I have with each cam at different times of days is also really nice. You can turn motion detection off, say on weekends, with cams in the backyard so family activity does not overload the recording unnecessarily.
The online documentation is very complete and detailed. I didn’t even read the CD manual. I just searched online and got all my questions answered.
It is a bit tough to set up internet viewing with a remote PC. But setting up mobile access is really simple.
The only small complaint I have is they provide the exact amount of screws. I dropped a few all through installation and became small on the screws. The other inconvenience is here is no power button on the unit. To bring the logic back up after a shutdown, you have to unplug the power and plug it back again. My power plug is under a very tight space. So it is painful to power cycle the unit.
But other than that, this logic is well worth the investment.

Amazingly small. Simple to use. Support 960H,
Dealing with their tech support was a pleasure. I had to call them because of an error in their DDNS setup sheet that I was using to setup external viewing on my mobile phone. In the field Domain name they have http:// in front of the domain name, which was incorrect, http:// must NOT be typed in the field. Once I just entered the domain name I had set up in their myq-see.com domain service it work fantastic! Also I learned you cannot in any browser configure the masked out area for a camera, that must be only done at the DVR. Once I knew I could not do it, that was fine with me, I just needed to know. I also verified that it will support both 960h and non-960h concurrently which I needed because I will have small hidden invisible led 940nm wavelength 700tvl cameras besides the larger visible red led 960h cameras.
In all this was a nice experience. If you are considering a 4-camera unit, my advice is go with an 8 port with 4 cameras at first as until you get it you don’t realize how you eventually want to see more, or you learn holes in your surveillance area.
I highly recommend this unit. This is third once I installed, and the second Q-see brand one I installed. To me, I am sticking with Q-see.
I want to add that tech support followed up to make sure I was pleased and later on they sent a survey on how well they did. I am very pleased with their support (which happens to be lifetime). Another brand I had and got rid of had terrible support, these guys Q-SEE are fantastic, even better than I ever hoped for.
