Logic is fantastic for small distances after probably thirty feet picture isnt fantastic unless here is alot of light i have a road light also you really cant make out faces from a distance but recprding time is fantastic already have close to two months of recording 24hours a day which is fantastic really wish i had a hd camera to see faces

|Exceptional for remote monitoring on PC & iPhone,
If you’re a PC person or have a supported smart phone (Q-See has an app for this!), then this package will work nicely for you. But if you’re a Mac person, this manufactured goods will frustrate you to no end.
The main unit attaches to your network hub via the provided ethernet cable and becomes available crosswise your home network (including wifi if you have it) and to the cloud.
The reason here’s no Mac usability is because the web interface uses Windows ActiveX to operate on a computer. Firefox is supported with an ADD-ON, but it’s really intended for IE. Of course if you’re only interested in the TV show option, then you’ll have no distress.
The cameras that come with this unit are pretty excellent. Not professional, but certainly acceptable considering price & purpose. You’ll see what’s going on at your place in affect, even when you can’t be here, but drilling down to face level clarity is tough, depending on camera placement.
I bought this one for Mom’s house as she’s been burglarized, but last year I spent $100 more for a similar manufactured goods for my own home, with no networking ability. I’d recommend this Q-See machine for anyone wanting a decent networked solution in the $400 range.

|CMOS vs CCD cameras,
Excellent price but you must be aware that these are CMOS cameras not CCD cameras. If you don’t know the difference you must do some research and find out, but basically CMOS are the economical/cheap version of CDD and commonly have less sharp images, night vision and affect, meaning they are more washed out over all compared to CCD. I have CMOS camera and a CMOS the CDD beat the CMOS hands down. But you can’t beat the price on this the cameras as the DVR is $200 with out the cameras so if image quality is that huge an issue then go for it, by image quality I mean not being able to make out face feature further than a few feet at the VERY best 30 ft as one other review mentioned. Just though I let people know as I just found out the difference myself.
