Connectivity at your fingertips
Even daylight video is better, I have a lot of shade in my …,
Installation was fascinating. Just to be clear I am very technical and highly experienced in deploying networks. For me installation was straightforward with the only issues with setting up DDNS. I the instructions wanted me to use the QC code to set it up but that did not work. I finished up manually configuring it using myq-see.com service. This worked well and only took about 20 minutes to setup and test. You can also use this service for other diplomacy in you house as long as up have them on different ports.
Hardware installation was also simple. A few tips when installing the hardware.
1. Setup the DVR and have it connected to the internet first before you install any cameras
2. Ensure you can get an Ethernet cable CAT-5 or CAT-6 from you modem/switch to the DVR.
3. Locate the DVR in a uncommon space such as an attic or a bathroom
4. Install a UPS that can power both the DVR and cameras
5. Use a tablet or cell phone when aiming cameras
6. Lastly, If you are unsure about running cables hire someone. It will save you time and stress
I have had this logic installed for about two months now and I am very pleased with it. Support is excellent when you can get thru which is very hard. You best bet is to look on-line for answers. I have and will continue to recommend this logic to my friends and customers.

A nice unit with a lot of nice features and clear images.,
The unit HAS to be attached to an Ethernet cable. Here’s no way around that. One must be hooked up and online to do setup and access everything. Here is no wifi or bluetooth option. Here is a downloadable app that facility with this unit. I cannot comment on how it facility because I don’t have either Apple or a Android phone to use it with. The Kindle HDs and Windows phones do not have an app that facility with this at the time of this posting.
Pros:
* Everything was equipped to install out of the box with simple to read quick-initiation instructions. Simply install the cameras, run the wires, connect to the monitor and mouse and power-up.
* Cameras provided nice sharp images even when they auto-switched to night time mode.
* Motion sensors provided flags on the show for each camera to note when something was lurking about. An audible tone option is also available to use with this feature, but not sure if that was camera specific.
* Selectable by mouse or remote control, static or various “rolling” camera images can be showed for either a concentrated review or for general monitoring. All channels (cameras) are recorded on disk and can be reviewed individually even as current live activity is still recorded.
Cons:
* Web interface is cumbersome to navigate and not very intuitive. It displays the active cameras in a list, but to switch from one camera to another, you must click through the camera show selection options on the bottom of the screen instead of just clicking on the camera name on the camera list.
* Here were no “mouse-over” descriptions that described the function of the options selection icons. It was hard to determine which show function to select without just trying one to see if it selected the show you wanted.
* The unit offered no wireless configuration. It requires a network wire to be installed into the local router.
* Although this unit did not offer the sound option, when connecting multiple cameras to the unit, some sort of feedback would from time to time occur through the HDMI tv interface. This would vary with the number of cameras connected, but primarily would be on the upper camera channels. For example, with cameras 1 through 4 connected, channels 2 through 4 presented this feedback. With cameras 1 through 8 connected, only channels 5 through 8 gave the feedback. This feedback would also cause the show to “fuzz” slightly as well for that camera was selected.
* The camera wire connection ports on the unit were very close collectively which made it hard to connect the wires. If one of the interior connectors needed changed, it usually predestined disconnecting the other ones around it. This is not a huge problem. It just makes it hard to change if necessary.
* The remote control for the unit did not work very well, especially when needing to log into the administrator login. It would often send double signals or no indicate which was not able to be seen with the password masked.
* The wiring will need to be in a harness of some sort just to make things clean. The warnings say that it cannot be run inside walls – I suppose due to code restrictions, so it would be hard to centrally locate the base unit without having a highly visible connection profile. It would need to be installed in a “hidden” location to suit the “clean” factor.
In spite of its shortcomings, it is a nice unit with a lot of nice features and clear images. I’d give it a solid 4 star rating even with its pitfalls.

Price and quality very excellent. Not a Professional series,
I have installed four professional series with comparable specs. This was less than half the price. Excellent picture quality for our use, 720P HD fantastic for home/small office. If you wanted to see more details (identify people at a distance) go with a megapixel.
