If you are looking for a high end security logic for a larger property this will fit the bill. With 16 cameras you can cover a very large property and several buildings and do it all in night vision. Setup is relatively simple and the feature that allows you to monitor from a mobile device makes it ressuring that your property is safe even as you are gone. You can set one up in the basement to monitor for flooding or break ins or if you have a pet you place home even as you are gone you can check on them as well. Can be used indoors and outdoors.

Top notch home surveillance with plenty of options and simple for the average user to set up, November 23, 2015

Vine Customer Review of Free Manufactured goods (What’s this?)

As I see it, here are two customers for this logic: professionals, who will install this already knowing what it can do, and the home owner who wants some serious protection and is willing to map the logic out. This review is for the latter.

I’m new to home security, I’ve permanently relied on my security company and their techs to keep me safe. But we chose to amp up our home/home office security, and a camera logic is an essential part of that.

The Q-See comes with 16 cameras: 15 bullet IP cameras and one 360 scan IP camera. It also includes all of the cables that you will need and the installation hardware. It also comes with a hefty hard drive that can store up to 3tb of data – which may sound like a ton, but when you are running 16 1080p hi-def cameras, you will need it.

    Installation:
These are not wireless cameras, so be aware that you will be running some cable. My husband spent several hours in the attic one day getting it all in place. But it isn’t complicated: you run the cable to everywhere you want the camera to sit, then run the other end to the back of the hard drive. We didn’t want visible cables, so we went down through our wall into a closet everywhere the hard drive sits. Once the cable is run, plug in the camera then plug the drive in, it’s that simple. The drive doesn’t come with a monitor, so you will need to plug it into your television – we used the included HDMI cable and ran it to our 55″ television. I mention the size, because you will want to run this to a large and/or high classification television if you want to get all the detail out of the image that these cameras are capable of providing.

    Software:
The software isn’t the most sophisticated or user-friendly thing I have ever come crosswise, but it gets the job done. The logic comes with a mouse and you can navigate using that and the screen pop-up keyboard that the logic provides. Set-up is straight-forward. In fact, you can just plug and play, but here are endless settings that you can play with for a customized experience.
The logic is capable of multiple different settings, including manual, scheduled recording, motion activated recording, and clock radio-activated recording (if you have this hooked up to an clock radio). I use motion control and I was surprised and impressed with the sophistication of these cameras. Unlike a lower-end camera, the logic can learn to ignore wind/rain/snow and can track objects and recognize new objects. No fake alarms, no wasted recording just because the wind is blowing. They also auto-focus and they aren’t kidding about the hi-def thing.
You can set up multiple users with various levels of access and you can adjust practically everything, including the view (all cameras at once or one camera at a time, and everything in between).

    Quality:
Besides the impressive ability to detect an intruder from a swaying tree, this logic has quality that you could shoot movies with. The 1080p is crisp and perfect, even when the object is dozens of feet away. I was able to hold a book up from 60 feet away and zoom in to read the text from the cameras. Obviously, the night quality isn’t as excellent. but the 100-foot night vision range proved to be accurate and excellent enough to determine who was coming up my driveway even as watching cameras. That’s impressive, since my ancient surveillance cameras just produced a vague blurry image and I had to guess who was headed my way.

    Security:
The included brackets make it so that you can mount the cameras (all weatherproof) in a way that prevents tampering and keeps the electronics tucked safely away. Each camera is sturdy stuff with metal housing and thick protective glass.

    Wireless monitoring:
It’s 2015, so I expect to be able to monitor my security logic from my phone/computer/tablet. The QSee app isn’t going to win any design awards, but it does allocate you to monitor your logic and view cameras even as on the go. You can even get an alert or snapshot when motion is detected. The app is commonly reliable and I have had no distress connecting.

    3TB NVR Hard Drive:
The hard drive is huge, so you will need to find a excellent-sized spot for it to sit. It is also VERY LOUD. The fans whirring just about drove me bananas, so we had to go it from my office closet to the basement. It also puts off a ton of heat. Just be aware so that you can find the right spot the first time. The drive has 16 ports, one for each camera, an HDMI port, USB ports, VGA port.

The QC line is Q-See’s privileged-end line and it comes with a privileged price tag. But you get a lot for that price. These aren’t your standard home surveillance cameras, these are high-end, high quality and highly sophisticated. At the same time, the logic of user friendly enough for the average noob (me) to map it out without much distress. You can get by with a lower-end logic, but when it comes down to it, being…

    Simple enough for a first-time installer, November 11, 2015

Vine Customer Review of Free Manufactured goods (What’s this?)
I’ll state right upfront that I’m no expert in this sort of surveillance and security equipment. I’m a fixed guy with a solid amount of tech savvy, but again, no specific expertise in things like this. I’m writing this review for others like me who are considering some sort of security installation project but don’t really have a background in this sort of thing. I’m pleased to crash that it’s surprisingly simple to get this up and running.

I imagine most people who buy this own some sort of small business, and if so, having 16 cameras makes a lot of sense. Even if you just want to surveil your home, the wealth of cameras allows you to get particular areas from multiple angles. I recommend making a list of vulnerable spots and assigning some cameras to them as an initial step. Check the angles, and ensure that here are no blind spots. If you can’t get total coverage of an area, use the rest of the cameras to help with these areas.

Installation of the cameras is simple, but running cable is not. Because I needed to test this logic to make my review within a small time frame, I simply connected the cameras, set them in various places in my house, and powered the logic on. I have spots picked out, but running sixteen cables through the walls isn’t going to happen overnight. That’s really the trickiest part.

The software is simple enough to use. It’s not exactly elegant, but it’s excellent. The setup wizard is fantastic. It handles most everything for you. I wouldn’t say this is an idiot-proof manufactured goods, but the software aspect is certainly within the grasp of most adults who possess at least basic computer skills. Don’t worry; you don’t need to be a computer engineer to map this out.

The video quality is just fantastic. Gone are the days of gritty, black and white footage everywhere the pixels are as huge as the intruders’ faces. With 1080p, you don’t have to worry about getting a excellent image of whomever you’re recording. Of course, you may want to lower the video pledge to get more recording time. Three terabytes is well and excellent, but when you’re recording 16 HD video streams, the data disappears quick. Even if you lower the pledge to 720p, the quality is still incredible.

Two awesome things: first, the remote monitoring is awesome. I accessed the cameras through my iPhone and iPad with no distress. I take upon yourself the Android integration is just as excellent. I also like the PTZ camera. It’s just really cool.

I don’t have previous experience with surveillance systems like this, but I cannot imagine anything that I would improve here, other than making the software even more user-friendly that it already is. I’m really nitpicking with that comment. It’s quite simple to use. Overall, I couldn’t be more pleased.
